When Harper was searching for harvest jobs in the Napa Valley, he came across some job descriptions which surprised us! Here’s an excerpt from one “…this position requires working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, under conditions of physical and mental fatigue, while maintaining clarity, focus, and a positive attitude. Applicants must be willing to stand, crawl, kneel, and climb for many hours, and repeatedly carry heavy objects (40+ lbs/18kg) up ladders. We are looking for a team player who is hard-working, reliable, and self-motivated.” Wow, that’s certainly being up-front about what they’re looking for in their harvest intern. We had a chuckle about this tell-it-like-it-is approach, it certainly avoids misunderstandings!
